In 1985, Brent Scarbrough started Brent Scarbrough, and Company (BSC) as an erosion control company in his junior year at Southern Polytechnic State University. Over 37 years later BSC has become one of the largest Heavy Civil Site contractors in Georgia.

Specializing in Clearing, Grubbing, Grading, Boring, Underground Utilities (Storm, Sewer & Water) The skilled work and expertise of our managers, field supervisors, foreman, operators, mechanics, and personable administrative staff have enabled us to work all over the southeast region. Our expertise can be seen in the Industrial, Commercial, Residential and Renewable Energy markets. Our projects span from warehouses, multi-family, health care, multi-use, data centers, manufacturing, government buildings and solar fields.

We understand that all this work doesn’t happen without the investment of our employees, which is why our founder, Brent Scarbrough, sold the company to BSC employees in 2017, making BSC 100% employee-owned. He is now CEO, and Shane Waters, a long time employee since 1996, serves as company President.
BSC strives to build great relationships with our employees, clients, vendors and our community. Making those things important and our priority is what has lead BSC to success for almost 40 years.
